i got to take a little trip back to one of my favorite places in the area for a wedding on saturday and once again, had a fabulous time! this time i had the honor of documenting linda+dale’s wedding, which they had at their beautiful winery, yellow farmhouse winery. Talk about a gorgeous spot for a wedding. Perched atop a hill that overlooks the farmhouse and grape vines, Dale and Linda exchanged vows as Linda’s mom and sisters (and others, i’m sure) shed tears of joy.
Oh and I can’t forget to mention the beautiful music of gabie mcgarrah. he’s a flamenco guitarist that played music before and after the ceremony and he definitely added to the beauty of their big day! he plays at the winery among many other places and he’s fabulous! oh, and i definitely also have to mention one more thing… yellow farmhouse is in the process of becoming a fellow wedding vendor! if you’re looking for a place to have your wedding, you definitelywill want to stay tuned for more details! in the meantime, enjoy this little sneak peak!
congratulations linda and dale! i hope you have a fabulous time in europe!

happy living,
rochelle

wow, what a crazy, wild, exciting and super fun time we had yesterday on laura and ryan’s big day! we worried about rain all day, but luckily the rain held off…until just after we all loaded the bus to head to the reception. whew! now, the reception is where wild and crazy come into play. oh, it was just a little thing called a tornado warning. oh wait, it was two of them! crazy, right? luckily all the weather hoopla was down south and we were safely tucked away up in maryland heights having a fab time in between and during our excursions into the orlando garden’s dungeon, otherwise known as the bad weather safe area. and prior to the reception…well, it was simply a fantastically beautiful day on many, many levels…lots more to come.
congratulations laura and ryan!!! i hope you have a fabulous time in florida!!!

happy living,
rochelle
p.s. how rockin are their purple chucks?!?!
p.p.s. how absolutely adorable are laura and ryan?!?!
big day portrait parties are here!
March 1, 2010
calling all brides and grooms…do you want to have a fabulously fun party with your bridal party and families and earn CRWstudio credit that you can put toward your wedding balance and/or prints and products???
CRWstudio is introducing it’s groundbreaking Big Day Portrait Parties! Here’s how they work…
1. the bride and groom or their friends host a party (this could be couples shower, bachelor/bachelorette parties, or any old party)
2. we’ll show up with the gear necessary to turn it into a portrait party
3. throughout the party, various groups of guests will make their way over to us to have their pictures taken. this could be the bride and her bridesmaids, the groom and his groomsman, various family members, etc.
4. we’ll post the images from the portrait party and during a predetermined time frame, guests will order the prints and products they want.
5. we’ll tally the sales total from the party and the bride and groom will earn studio credit to use toward their wedding balance and/or prints and products.
this is truly a great opportunity, for what other studio do you know allows brides and grooms to earn “money” to put toward their balance??? and, they get to do so just by partying! not too shabby, eh? and don’t forget, we offer some really cool and unique photo gifts that would be perfect for bridal parties and parents. couples could use images from the portrait party to get accordion albums, jewelry, money clips, business card holders and so much more for their friends and families.
we are so stoked to be able to do our little part to help our brides and grooms offset the overwhelming cost of getting married by offering our big day portrait parties. but there’s also another very important benefit in doing them. this will give me a chance to meet and get to know the friends and families of our couples before their big day. this will allow for a much more relaxed big day which in turns, paves the way for even better images from us! so, to quote the office, our big day portrait parties are a win-win-win dealio!
so much to share today! i recently had a very cool maternity session with my friend sara, her husband and their son at the very cool once upon a bash in maplewood. i’ll be writing more about once upon a bash and sharing more pictures soon, but i wanted to include a little sneak peak from the session. the little vintage ditty in the slideshow below will just have to do for now. oh, be sure to check out the checkered floor..how awesome is that?!?!
and in an attempt to quench your hunger for eye candy, i also have a little sneak peak from our heart day mini sessions. this was such a fun group of kiddos to photograph. from the two aiden’s who kept turning the heart upside down to douglas, who had a couple of pez candies and kept me on my toes.
oh, and i definitely can’t forget joey, annabeth, michael and eva. we talked, we laughed, we had fun. what a great day of mini sessions!
and last, but definitely not least, i came across an awesome idea thanks to daily candy and brooch bouquets. let your eyes behold this gloriously awesome bouquet in the slideshow below! again, how awesome is that?!?! a la pee wee’s place house, that is our phrase of the day. but seriously, it’s such a unique take on a wedding day staple. and, if you use jewelry from friends and family members, you’ll have your something borrowed!
[showtime]
well, that’s it for today. i hope you enjoyed the eye candy! and i hope you had a fabulous heart day!
